With every job, we provide a Scope of Work that includes but is not limited to the baseline considerations indicated below:
Expectations: We’ll discuss the job with you, offer suggestions, review mechanical drawings and blueprints, and do a site walk-thru as needed to ensure your expectations are clearly understood and met.
Drops: A drop is each location throughout the office where cabling will be terminated and made accessible for computer, phones and other devices to connect to the network. We will discuss with you the number of drops and number of cables per drop.
Cable: All cable will be "homerun" from each drop to the Server Room (aka Telco closet, Dmarc, MDF, IDF, etc.). All cabling will be plenum rated and terminated with appropriate RJ45 Jacks. The Cabling may be Cat 5E or Cat 6, as desired.
Faceplates: At each cable drop, a faceplate or appropriate surface mount hardware will be installed to secure the cabling
Server Room: Cables will be aggregated and terminated into an appropriate patch panel that may be mounted to a wall or secured into a rack. The rack may be wall mounted or floor mounted with ladder. Wire Management will be installed to ensure the most efficient and professional appearance.
Standards and Codes: All cabling will be installed in compliance with local and municipal building codes.
Labeling and Testing: All cabling will be tested and labelled on each end.
Fiber, HDMI, Coax and other AV related Wiring: Will be discussed in more detail and may include a separate Scope of Work (SOW).
